Letters to our Mountain

You’ve said before that your father named you San as he wanted you to be a comforting hill for people and I think it was the most perfect name he could’ve chosen for you. San, you’ve become the happiest most comforting place for atiny, giving us strength when we feel weak and hope in the hard times. Your presence is a home we can come to at the end of a long day and stand before you with a smile when we couldn’t otherwise. You have truly lived up to your name and I couldn’t be luckier to have gotten to see you stand tall as the most comforting hill for us. Thank you for being who you are, for caring for us and loving so deeply, and for never being afraid to show that strength doesn’t always come from being the tallest mountain but sometimes the most beautiful hill. Thank you for sharing who you are with us and being the greatest joy we could hope to find. 

I don’t think I’ll ever fully be able to express how proud I am of you and how far you’ve come but you truly are so admirable. You’re proof that hard work heeds results. You’ve gone from a trainee with a long path of uncertainty to the best performer I’ve seen. You’ve worked hard and you’ve done so well and I hope that you can look back and see how far you’ve gone in comparison to where you started. San, you’re beyond talented, an amazing singer, an amazing dancer, and an amazing performer. It’s such an honor to be able to watch you, thank you for sharing your talents and being brave enough to follow your dreams. 언제나 응원하는 거 알죠?
